Avalon - Field - Willey
A large group of us did this from North to South with a bit of car spotting. While going down is fast, its bad on the knees, we should have done it in reverse. This was also a bit much for about half of our group. We've since termed it the 'death march' as it was really not the best idea.
Views and Temperature were great.

along with Mt. Tom
There was some snow on the trail, that made it slippery. The A-Z and Avalon trails are very nice.

Bagged this one along with Tom, a nice area & a very easy hike. It had snowed a foot the day before so it was more interesting.

Along with Tom and Willey, Field was the last of my 4,000 foot mountains in New England.

Willey Range Loop
Second peak on the three peak "loop". Minimal views from the summit, but a nice light hike anyways.

Backpack to Peakbag
Late in the day, after traveling to the Whites from NYC I backpacked up the AZ trail and did the entire Willey range, finishing at 9PM. The sunset was spectacular.

Hitchhiked both ways
Car wouldn't start down at Notchland so hitched to trailhead. My
companions quit at Field at noon, I went over to Willey and slid down to Ethan Pond Trail, then hitched back to car.

Route Climbed: Willey Range Trail from A-Z trail, down the Avalon Trail Date Climbed: 17 aug 05I did a great day hike with my girlfriend, we started by the mt Tom, field, Willey and Avalon. Nice view on each summit.

Route Climbed: Mt. Avalon Trail Date Climbed: June 9, 1997Very nice. Quite a bit of snow still, but mostly firm enough to walk on without breaking through. South to Willey.

Route Climbed: Avalon taril / A - Z Trail Date Climbed: November 22, 2003Climbed on a day with tons of ice on the trails. It made the descent pretty interesting.
