| Late in the day, after traveling to the Whites from NYC I backpacked up the AZ trail and did the entire Willey range, finishing at 9PM. The sunset was spectacular. | |

| Car wouldn't start down at Notchland so hitched to trailhead. My companions quit at Field at noon, I went over to Willey and slid down to Ethan Pond Trail, then hitched back to car. | ||

| I did a great day hike with my girlfriend, we started by the mt Tom, field, Willey and Avalon. Nice view on each summit. | |

| Some fresh crusty snow, and the limited views were even more limited due to clouds and falling snow. Still, a beautiful day. Snowshoes appropriate for above 3500 feet today. | |
