Very nice. Good to see this submitted by someone who has actually climbed the thing.

I plan on going postal in 2 weeks. It's the Formidable way. :)

Thanks the vote, dude.

It's about time Formidable wound up on SummitPost. Great job as always Paul! You're right, I'll be posting some pix, but it might not be this week. I'll have to figure out which pix belong on this page and which ones are for Eric's Ptarmigan Traverse page. How'd you guys happen to put up these two pages on the same day? -Bob

I saw his new page this morning and it certainly spurred me to get off my keister. Plus, I saw the opportunity to make this mountain ID # 5555!

I actually had most of the Spider page done. And since everything but the overview is the same for it and Formidable, it was simply a matter of writing the latter's overview.

Now the real question is how did I manage not to go climbing this weekend?

Hey, bud. I know you're not 26 years old anymore. You should update your profile.

One slight correction...

Heyo Klenke!

Thanks for the page -- one thing to note: NPS doesn't permit camping at Cascade Pass trailhead/the pass itself. Johannesburg Camp is the closest spot to the trailhead without actually getting on the trail that people can use.

Cheers!

From: https://www.nps.gov/noca/planyourvisit/cascade-pass-trail.htm

> Backcountry Camping: A backcountry permit is required for all overnight stays. Permits are limited. There is no camping allowed directly at Cascade Pass but there are several campsites nearby: Pelton Basin, Sahale Glacier, Basin Creek and Johannesburg. There are numerous campsites along the trail to Stehekin as well.

Re: One slight correction...

Thanks. I removed that reference about camping at the pass in the Camping section.
