| After the giants to the north this was a fun peak to bag on my north/south traverse. The paths in the area were noticeably better than the ones by Adams and Jefferson. | |

| Myson (12 at the time) and I did this one and Monroe. Great views. Mt Washington still had snow at the summit. We camped in the woods near a pond and a moose lumbered through abouyt 5 feet from our tent. The ground shook and it was very scarry. | |

| Climbed with Pierce, Eisenhower and Monroe via the Crawford Path from Highland Center. Another summit reached during a traverse of the Presidentials. The Appalachian Trail over Franklin is one of the best trail sections in the White Mountains with great views for almost the entire way. | |
