Mount Fryxell

Mount Fryxell

Taken from the base of the snowfield after glissading down it following my climb of the peak. WARNING: Make sure you really know what you are doing before glissading here; it is steep enough to get you going VERY fast VERY quickly. The ridge I climbed is the one on the right; I found and enjoyed some Class 4 and 5 spots, but it can be kept at Class 2. The ridge on the left is Class 2, but the rock looks loose enough to be really annoying. Teton Range, WY-- July 2007

Have faith, Bob!

After five or six more snowstorms, this slope
is bound to turn into a glissader's paradise!!!

Re: Aptly named...

I never really looked at it that way; thanks for pointing that out and giving it a new look for me!
