| I did an evening hike with my 4 year old daughter, summitted after dark, but enjoyed a full moon. Two days later, I did an afternoon hike from Florence Lake to Dutch Lake, Crater Lake, the formation atop the ridge above Crater Lake, Ian Campbell, Givens, and finally White Bark Vista, where my ride was waiting for me as darkness fell. Taking in the expansive views from the ridge top was a wonderful way to spend an evening. Avoiding/staying east of the road made for more pleasant hiking than the dusty, rocky, undulating, and curvy OHV route. | |

| hiked up with my friend and coworker Diego. Started from Kaiser Pass road, as there was still a lot of snow this early in the season. Fun hike with great views of the High Sierra, Ritter Range, and the San Joaquin valley. | |

| "Snow above 9,000'!!" said the weather man on the news. BS I called! Well, there was no snow but it was cool with a constant 20-30 mph wind makeing a serious windchill! My wife Kristine was a champ, this was her first 10K peak! | |
