Mount Gould and Swiftcurrent Glacier | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |||
Looking south from summit of Swiftcurrent Mountain, the northwest face of impressive Mount Gould sits front and center. Behind and to the left is Going-to-the-Sun Mountain, which rises several miles to the east. The large snow patch beneath the deep notch right of Gould is Gem Glacier. Enlarge the photo and take note of Bishop's Cap, a high sharp spire on the Garden Wall, visible through the Gem Glacier notch. The broad summit of Pollock Mountain, which lies quite close to the approximate start of the Garden Wall, rises behind. July 16, 2009 |
