Guyot
After work, I climbed Mount Guyot. The weather was good and I didn't see anyone. I did see some pikas though. The drive to Georgia Pass from Breckenridge was was harder than the climb.

SE Ridge
CMC hike. We started around 11,000 feet, following an abandoned road off the Georgia Pass Rd. Weather was mostly sunny and warm, though it was a little breezy at times, and we did get a few drops of rain on the way down. There was still some snow, and a cornice on the summit, we had to negotiate that with ice axes. There were plenty of mountain goats on the upper slopes, and some moose down by Lake 11555. 4.67 miles round trip, 6 hours up and down.
Beautiful September day for a short stroll. Plenty of mountain goats along the ridge.

First 13er
Completed my first 13er! Just moved to the area from Pennsylvania, so the terrain near the summit was new territory for me. Got a little sketch on the way down through the boulder field after it started hailing, but still made for a great day!

Fun summit
From Wellington Rd. TH Went to French pass up the beautiful gorge. Scrambled up to follow the continental divide. Saw some Mountain goats and made it to the Summit. On the way down, my friend and I escaped an early thunderstorm into the trees. Got off the ridge just in time and completed the long loop back to the trail head. Overcast all morning, but still have some nice views.
Went up the north ridge and then skied down the Swan Dive route, which requires a 500-600' reclimb to a saddle at around 12,100. We then skied back out Little French Creek to the car. Swan Dive is often done with snowmobiles from Georgia Pass, but this loop provides a nice way to do the route with just cars. Skied with Brian, Ben, Marc and Connor.

Good route in good setting...
With Michelle. Nice ridge up top, small summit. Great views of a steep cirque. Best of all, no one up there but an old timer who we chatted up who had been on that route 35 years ago! Nice dude. Why people queue up at 14er walk ups when routes like this go untouched...is fine with me!
Snow between the rocks from the previous day. A bite to the wind at first, then it warmed up. The road had some snow that melted while we were climbing.

NW Ridge, kinda...
Wanted to hike this mountain ever since laying my eyes on it while hiking the CT over Georgia Pass back in '07. Finally got around to it! I went up through French Creek, but kinda deviated from NW Ridge route from there, going up more along the direct north ridge. Came back down along NW ridge, though. Great route, great views, and total solitude!
