| dshoe | Route Climbed: Northeast Ridge from May Lake Date Climbed: 08-94 ![]() | |
| This hike/climb was a nice "scramble." Don't remember the exact amount of time it took to do the trip, but it wasn't very long, and was easily doable in an afternoon. Very nice views of Yosemite NP from the summit! Descended via a Southeast ridge on the way back down, over large boulders. Was a very nice trip, overall! | ||

| Hiking after the attack on our Country ended up being a great experiance. My wife (Kristin) and I stayed at May lake and hiked the trail to mount Hoffman. On the way up she said "Why did we not bring a flag to put on top?" We both wish we would have. On top there is a note pad that I dedicated the hike to the victims of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I also dedicated it to my Dad that pasted away 2 years ago. The hike is easy but the view is increadable. Yosemite is the best National Park we have and you can see it all from up there. On the way down we saw two guys doing what we wanted to do, hanging our FLAG. I snapped a picture and reflected on it for awhile. What a great HIGH. | ||

| Terry was tired of climbing after a week in Tuolumne, so he hung out at Tenaya Lake while I climbed cross-country from there. It's an easy half-day hike from the lake, even shorter if you drive to Snow Flat. Trip Report | ||

| Josh | Route Climbed: Regular trail via Hoffman's Thumb Date Climbed: July 31, 2001 ![]() | |
| Hiked up with Ryle and one of his friends. On the way, I free-soloed the 5.6 Regular Route on "Hoffman's Thumb," an impressive spire a few hundred feet south of Hoffman's true summit. | ||

| Short hike to impressive vistas on a beautiful day. Dove in and swam at May Lake on the way out. Very chilling but fun. | ||
