| lcarreau | Well, here we go again! | |
Voted 10/10 | Another new year, and already some spectacular eastern Sierra photos are popping up on SP's front page!
I'm not sure if Arizona's "Humphreys" has
this much snow on it. Guess I need to head
on up to Flagstaff and check. Outstanding pic!

Hasn't voted | Hi Larry,
It seems that luck has followed me into 2010. I love partially cloudy sunrises. They offer the best views of the Eastern Sierras. All I have to do is to show up and press the button.
Thank you so much for the visit, Larry,

Voted 10/10 | I tried to climb humphreys last summer, was off route the entire time and ended up climbing pt. 13100 before I figured out exactly where the actual route was, there was a lot of talus! | | Posted Jan 11, 2010 6:16 pm |
 | | Marcsoltan | Re: beautiful picture | |
Hasn't voted | I can see how one can go off route on Humphreys. After all the talus, if you are on the correct talus, all that rock up there can get pretty confusing which way to go. We were lucky to stay on the correct right and made the summit.
Thank you for the visit, | | Posted Jan 11, 2010 8:39 pm |

Hasn't voted | Not to worry, not voting is by far better than "down voting."
I happen to have gotten one of those on my "Lone Pine Peak" photo today.

| Augie Medina | Lava Flow | |
Voted 10/10 | You could have said this was a lava flow because that's what it looks like. "A rose by any other name...."

Hasn't voted | My imagination didn't extend quite so far as seeing "A Lava Flow." But, now that you said it, mmmm, why not.
Thank you for the visit and the comment, Augie,

Hasn't voted | I was photographing a nearby mountain when I noticed a bit of sun lighting Mount Humphreys. I took a few shots and ended up with this one. It was pure luck.
Thanks for the visit and the comment, Tim,
