| Surprisingly, the summit was much more crowded than Madison or Adams. Incredible views on a fantastically clear day. | ||

| The Northern Presidential range is just a spectacular place. The Great Gulf Wilderness is one of the most beautiful places I know in ths country. And to combine all of the views and all of the hiking on a day without clouds or limits to visibility, and temps in the 40s and 50s, well, it really doesn't get any better than that! We did Caps Ridge Trail in under two hours. Ample parking. By chance we ran into Andy, then expanded our route to Adams and down Lowe's Path (and with Andy's help and this dynamic car spotting got back to our wheels). | ||

| Day 4 of Franconia to Pinkham. Beutiful clear and windy. I don't know which trail is nicer, gulfsides of crawford path. both are fantastic. Little sheltered plateau behind the summit. summit is probably 20ft above scarmbling. There is a tower of a cairn here. | ||

| Tagged this summit with my brother on the way from Mt. Washington, on a foggy, rain-soaked day. Views extended about 15 feet from the summit, so there wasn't too much to see. I got the feeling though that the Gulfside Trail on a sunny day could be quite the awesome hike, so I'll be back. | ||

| Bagged this peak several times. Caps ridge is fun. Best hikes were traverses. First was up the Caps Ridge, over Jefferson, Clay, Washington, and Monroe, down Ammonousuc, and walk back up the road to the Caps trailhead. Second was with a car shuttle, up the Caps, over Jefferson, Adams, side trip to Madison and down the Air Line. | ||

| An excellent hike in not so excellent weather! The summit was totally fogged in and the wind was gusting to about 35 mph. The temp on top was 47F, making it feel about 22F with windchill. We stayed on the summit just long enough to snap a photo, then we booked it off that mountain! Caps Ridge Trail is a great route, shortest in the Presidentials, making for a quick summit. It also has some great class 3 scrambling most of the way. We have a detailed report and lots of photos of the route and the foggy summit on our website at Natural Born Hikers Check it out sometime! | ||
