Ocean to Peak Adventures: 2024 Mountain Summit Challenge
Snowshoed up to the top with three great friends. Snow was very compacted so we probably could have gotten away with doing it in snow spikes. Great weather day!

Pacific Crest Trailhead
Mt Judah and Donner Peak via Pacific Crest Trailhead and Mount Judah Loop trail. We were on the trail by 10:50 and made it to the summit of Mt Judah by Noon. We wore snowshoes the entire way as there had been a big snow storm earlier in the week, but fortunately the trail had been pretty well compacted in most areas by other hikers and skiers by the time we arrived. We made our way back down to be beginning of the Judah ridge and then up to the summit of Donner Peak by 12:30. Party of 2. 1.85 miles and 1 hour 10 minutes to the summit of Mt Judah. Another 1 mile and 30 minutes of hiking to Donner Peak. Weather was sunny with intermittent cloud coverage. Hiked without a jacket or gloves until we reached the ridge and then strong winds picked up. 1,200 ft of elevation gain to the summit of Mt. Judah and another 250 ft for Donner Peak. 4.25 miles, 1,525 ft of elevation gain, and 2 hour 40 minutes round trip.

Nice little hike on Saturday afternoon. Pretty good dusting of snow left up there from earlier in the week. Some slush at the top and harder snow in the shade. Brought microspikes but didn't use them. Sunny and cool day.

Donner, Judah, Lincoln Loop
Hiked Donner, Judah, and Lincoln. Not very exciting. An okay workout but definitely not a "wilderness experience."

Went up Donner without realizing what we were hiking until we found the benchmark, then continued on to Judah, then Lincoln in moderate snow. Seems funny thinking about it now, but didn't know the names of any of these peak until seeing the map on top of Judah. TR is HERE

A nice little peak...very much un-difficult. Easy to follow trail, no surprises, limited traffic. Great vacation hike!
