Mt Jumbo  Sucess!

Rare sunny day in Juneau. Saw all the peaks that I have climbed on earlier trips for the first time! Tried this climb from the Coral Princess the prior week sailing north, but retreated due to lack of crampons at 2,100' elevation. In one week the snow retreated enough to allow a successful summit!

Mt. Bradley in Douglas route  Sucess!

Hiked this snowy mountain the day after bagging Deer Mountain in Ketchikan the day before. My best friend's son picked me up at the dock, drove me to the TH and probably wondered if he'd ever see me again. I somehow managed to get to the summit after losing the trail in the ever-deepening snow several times. When I showed up back at the doorstep of my driver he looked about as surprised as I had ever seen someone. So life is good. Lucky for me he drove me back to the port where I was able to re-board the ship before it launched for Skagway.
