| Started early with plans to climb Lamarck and then continue over Lamarck Col to Darwin Canyon and Mt. Goethe but totally lost my mojo along the way and settled for just Lamarck. Nice hike though. | |

| I discovered that about 0.5 miles north of the named summit is a summit bump at about 13,470'. After that it drops off. Another page on Summitpost has noted "Northwest Lamarck". But, this is 0.2 miles to the north and 6' higher. The issue with climbing it is that it involves a small 100% exposed Class 3 knife edge. I made the named Lamarck summit, but also this little known summit. Reaching it was dangerous, because it was a knife edge, but not terribly hard in terms of moves. | Hiked this with Ambret (see his comment on summit log). The route isn't crowded but it's never empty, either as backpacking groups are coming or going over Lamarck Col, although not so many actually appear to summit Lamarck itself. We had a sunny day but it was windy and cold on the top, so be prepared. | |

| Chased off the summit at noon by snow flurries, by the time we reached treeline it had evolved into hail/sleet and lightning/thunder. Weather added an interesting twist to this walk-up. | |

| Summited Lamarck from the North Lake trailhead. Quite a bit of snow leading up to the Lamarck Col, but it was easy to skirt. We decided to ascend the southeast face rather than going via the Col -- the route was shorter and avoided having to cross a snowbank, where a slip would have led to a very cold swim. A fun and (for us) challenging hike. Great views in all directions. | |

| With SMG, we climbed it from the trailhead in one very long day. Firm snow and some ice in on the route. The hardest part was the approach and descent which took so long due to talus and routefinding. Had the whole place to ourselves! | |

| Climbed this thing super quick. This is a great afternoon or morning hike with no technical anything to worry about. Perfect if you're not comfortable with exposure. Later went up with my dad and girlfriend....so good! This peak has a great view of darwin and mendel! | |
