From Quartzville  Sucess!

After being chased off Cameron the year before by lightning, decided to tackle Lincoln and Bross from a different angle. The Quartzville trailhead provided complete solitude until we reached the summit of Lincoln. It was great!

Lincoln East Ridge  Sucess!

My first fourteener, back when I was a freshman in high school. Not too much to talk about as I dont remember the route that much except we followed a road for a long time and met 10 or so people on the little summit.

Dolly Varden route; Flowers Indeed  Sucess!

Most of the hillside going up Bross was scented with wildflowers. What a gift! There's an old mining cabin with a permanent snowfield inside. Seriously, I suspect it doesn't melt out. Neato.

Triplet from Kite Lake  Sucess!

Made the trip round the horn, Lincoln > Cameron > Democrat > Bross. Had to park 2-3 miles from the trailhead for fear of my car which made for the day being a little longer.

Decalibron: 3rd down  Sucess!

By the time I got to Lincoln, I had decided to see how fast I could wrap up the Decalibron. I don't think I stood on the summit for more than 30 seconds, just enough time to down a granola bar.

Kite Lake TH, Ascend Democrat E Ridge, Cross Cameron Point to Lincoln W Ridge, Descend Bross W Slopes to TH  Sucess!

Knocking off 3-4 14ers, depending on your point of view, in one hike is great. Perfect weather.

1 of "4" That Day  Sucess!

Depending on whether or not you consider Mt. Cameron a 14er, we completed Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln, and Bross. There was still enough snow on Bross for a small glisade.

Winter Lincoln  Sucess!

Breezy and snowy day on the east slopes - light new snow cover made the ski descent tricky.

NE/E ridge  Sucess!

Climbed this nice winter route during a day that turned from sun slowly to blizzard, a fun day. Climbed up R of Lincoln Falls ice climbing, then gained the ridge on the R of the main drainage and followed it over the S? face on our left, beautiful position, up to broad open slopes above the cabin at the end of the narrow part of the ridge. Ridge kept us mainly free of avalanche hazard (except for down by ice climbing)but the acummulating windblown new snow and the need to use the better snow right on the edge of the S face kept it a little spicy. Good time, I would recommend this as a winter route.
