| Came up from Lake Street. Went up the East Trail. Had to dodge mountain bikers coming down. The view on top is nice. Also went on to Mt. Markham. Good, fast training hike, except for distance from Lake to Echo Mountain. Went with Mark J. | |

| I summited Lowe for the first time from Lake Ave/Echo Mountain in March of 09. I took the trail up to Echo, then upper Sam Merrill to East Lowe, then back down through Castle Canyon, for maybe a 13-14 miler. I think the time took 6 hours total, give or take. Since then, I've taken different variations to get up to Lowe and while its always a fun and moderate hike, some of the west trail up to the top has been eroded from the Station Fire. Its doable but be careful if you get vertigo :-) | |
