| Nothing technical about this mountain but it's size. Great bowls in the back towards Mt. Oklahoma for skiing. Winter Class 1 access on the front. And an interesting end to end ridge option at some point. | ||

| technicolorNH | Uncertain weather ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 16, 2011 | |
| Had a somewhat slower climb than expected due to snow from a storm that hit earlier in the week. Four hours and forty minutes from the parking lot trailhead and the clouds wreathing the top kept me from really knowing which of the summits was in fact the highest summit. Only met two other hikers, a father and son combo from Oregon and Washington. A lot of marmots above the treeline and the weather held off until I got back to my car after the three hour descent. | ||

| Matt Lemke | Perfect timing ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 17, 2011 | |
| Did the shortest south slopes route from the N. Halfmoon Creek TH and didn't start until 1:30 pm but this turned to our advantage as the morning saw bad foggy/rainy and snowy weather that turned most of the days hikers around but the afternoon treated us to much nicer and clearer weather. | ||

| Tonka | Straight up! ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 27, 2011 | |
| Went up the South Slopes and it is a fantastic route. Don't let the short milage fool you, it's a steep climb and I'm sure many more people bail on this route compared to the main trail. Great weather besides a few claps of thunder as we were coming down just before noon. The summit was busy and probably had about 8 dogs on it too. | ||

| This one sucked, only because the 4 mile long hike back after re-entering the trees on the standard trail. | ||

| Nice day for a quick hike, took 2:10 to summit. Nasty weather moved in after I got back into town. | ||

| I didn't see a soul all day. The route is better than the guide implied. Weather came in fast. I descended through hail, snow and rain. | ||

| Kapelmuur | Standard route on freakishly hot day ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 25, 2011 | |
| Some nuisance snowfields along the way but otherwise a great day. Shaved a mile off the descent by glissading a long section just before the saddle with S. Massive. Luckily the weather was freakishly hot so my ass dried off quickly! | ||

| Legpowered | Massive Redemption ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 17, 2011 | |
| Tough conditions. Lots of rotten, corn snow intermixed with bare rock and tundra. Snowshoes on, showshoes off.... Very windy and snowing a bit. Glissaded off the east face almost directly from the summit to get down before a storm. This was redemption for having to turn back last summer in a storm. Great time! | ||

| rockymountaindiva | Massive Slog ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 9, 2011 | |
| Snow in many forms - hardpack, corn, slush - made for quite a slog, making the summit that much sweeter! Gorgeous spring day with the usual 40 mph breeze up high. | ||

| CastillejaMiniata | Stormy ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 28, 2009 | |
| As soon as we reached the summit, clouds blew in and we jetted to the bottom. We spent the night off-trail above treeline at around 12,000 ft. | ||

| LadyWawa | Lots of Marmots! ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 10, 2009 | |
| This was my first fourteener and one of my first hikes in Colorado. My first experience with this level of altitude was a trip! It was really quite busy at the summit and there seemed to be a rotating crowd. While I was up there a very large lightning storm blew in suddenly and it became a difficult situation finding a safe spot to go so go early! There were many marmots near the summit which was wonderful also. :) | ||
