With my 2 Year Old
Climbed it with my parents, wife, and our 2 year old. She wanted to walk most of it, but we had to carry her or put her in the baby backpack carrier at times, or we would have been up there all day. She eventually fell asleep on the way down. We did the blue loop which goes a ways back from the main overlook and looks much less used than the main path up the mountain. Nice spot and very close to State College!
1977. Required climb for all Nittany Lions. Walked from campus. Picked some sassafras for tea later.

Daylight Fading
Just hiked 0.7miles with a 580ft vertical gain from the trail head parking area to the Lynch Overlook(Beaver Stadium) at the top of Mt Nittany in 14 mins thru the dreary drizzle with daylight fading just to shout: THE PANTHERS ARE MIGHTY & HAIL TO PITT !!!
One of the most beautiful & rocky trails in Pennsylvania. That 600ft in the first half mile really gets the blood pumping(and, in my case, the sweat pouring). The conservancy is doing a wonderful job!

Local "Legend"It's almost funny to me to see this hometown hill on SP. It's a fun place to take a quick break on a nice afternoon.

Fun timesAscended when I was a student with a huge group from my fellowship - quite social. Plus, the mountain lions left us alone =)
