| A great climb. I enjoyed the Marshall Pass Road. Me and my friend Jeff spotted Beaver and Deer but saw no other climbers..not much of a trail up this peak. Sunday we went to the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, good times! | |

| My first attempt was a month earlier and I turned back near treeline when the wind picked me up and slammed me against the talus! 2nd try was successful. Up NE Ridge, down E Ridge. Nasty snow conditions in the trees. | |

| The day turned out to be fairly nice compared to the forecast as I did a neat loop to include Chapita and Pt 13472, descending via the CO Trail after bailing off the ridge at the Chapita/13472 saddle. A 2WD vehicle can probably make it to the end of the road on the CO trail. An 8 hr day with breaks. | |

| Up the NE Ridge, down the East Ridge. This is the way to go on this one, the bristlecone forest at the base of the armchair is beautiful. Not much snow in this part of the state from the previous days storm, seemed to bypass the southern Sawatch. Clear day, but chilly and windy. Could see Pikes, Uncompahgre, Castle, Evans and Blanca, this peak has some of the longest view corridors I have ever seen! | |

| Beautiful day but the short distance is deceiving. This hike still took quite a while due to the up and down on the ridge and the endless talus. I was relieved when we finally reached the summit. My group only saw one other person the entire day. | |

| 3 of us camped at Marshall Pass, got an early start and hiked up the West Ridge, out of the trees by sunrise and on top in time to celebrate my 21st with a Fat Tire before the afternoon storms began building. Fast-growing cumulus led us us to make the call and descend directly down & south off the west ridge into the trees for a chill, meandering walk back. | |

| A cloud hung over the summit with sun all around. Eventually the clouds boiled down almost filling Devils Armchair. It was overcast on the summit but 20 minutes off the summit the skies completely cleared. | |

| I was camping at O'haver Lake, and I got a really late start on this peak. I could see it in the distance, but I had no idea it was Mt. Ouray. I turned around at the "Devil's Armchair." | |

| Climbed this mountain in not the best of conditions. Early morning fog was fortelling of what was to come. The climb was enjoyable nonetheless.! The ridge is very fun with many ups and downs to negotiate. It started raining shortly after we left the summit making the descent not so fun. Luckily we had the GPS to get us back to the trailhead in conditions where we couldn't see anything! | |

| Made the northern circuit of Ouray, via Little Cochetopa creek and trailhead. 9 miles round trip, and very scenic. Met two other climbers near the summit. (Holiday weekend - it was crowded :-) | |
