Tough Day  Sucess!

We still found a significant amount of snow in the gully. It was good to climb on it, but the icy sections weren't good. Forced us free soloing crumbling rock, very tedious. Perhaps later in the season it's less dicey. The ridge was fun indeed and the rock pitch the most enjoyable part of the day other than the approach trail...

Great day out baby!  Sucess!

Raff and I with an 11am start, hot n sunny. Half way up to Grizzly col we cut due east. Once on the scree fields we picked the easiest line to the furthest north gully. 400 metres of steep scree, peddles on slab and several difficult rock steps. Fun summit ridge, then 5.6/5.4 summit block, tons of fun! There was a small summit cairn, but I couldn’t find any register. We left nothing on the mountain, no slings or pitons.
