| bushwacked our way up the first 1-2 miles, some rocky switchback, then breaking trail to the top. Cloudy, but beautiful hike | ||

| Extremely low visibility but summited regardless and got a few glimpses of Index across the cirque. Date on this one is a wild guess, it was sometime spring or summer 2009. | ||

| The most recent of several trips up this peak - I think the first one was in '91. Someday I'll make the time to do the Index traverse. | ||

| Arkitekt | Steep but Fun ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 3, 2012 | |
| The trail is a bit easy to loose track of once gaining the ridge. A few wrong paths later we made it to the summit. Altogether, a bit steep but great views. | ||

| WeatherMan | Bugs... and brush ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 20, 2011 | |
| Climb gets right down to business from the road, steep and very brushy. Caught a nice sunset and hiked out in the dusk. A little trimming of the brush would make this a much nicer climb. | ||

| beaudaddy85 | Great! ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 21, 2011 | |
| I really enjoyed this peak for an afterwork hike. Trail starts off as more of a steep climber's path and then opens up into a nice open forest as you traverse over to open snow slopes. Hit solid snow around 4,500'. The views from the summit were better than I expected. Stay away from the cornices. That northface is pretty legendary. Killer view of Index! | ||

| This was the trip that I met Eastking, and I almost brought my heavy duty boots. Glad I didn't because there was little snow. | ||

| Started from the turnout where the improvised trail starts, great little short hike for half a day or so. Went with my grandmother and her husband, and they were in better shape than I was! | ||

| Redwic | Great Views! ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 20, 2010 | |
| This wasn't my original goal for the day, but another local peak required too much bushwhacking for my liking. This became my backup plan, as I had yet to attempt it. Great views from the summit. I preceded this with nearby dumpster-dive blob "Little Haystack" (a.k.a. "TOC Rock"). | ||

| TimmyC | Worth the hike ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 29, 2010 | |
| My partner and I were the only folks up there today. Got above the fog and made it to the summit by noon. OUTSTANDING view of Index, Baring and everything else. Hard work, but definitely worth it. There's still snow around the tarns, but the trail is totally clear. Very overgrown in some spots. Great day! | ||

| bigjoesmith | Gate open, trail clear ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 23, 2010 | |
| The Forest Service road (up Protor Creek) is now unlocked, so it is possible to drive to the start of the climber's trail up the west ridge. The trail is snow free and the access to the top is pretty quick. Great Views. Good bang for the buck. | ||

| Hey, I found the trail this time! Ben and Anna from OSAT, Josh Lewis and East King from Summit Post and NW Hikers met me in Monroe and then we climbed the mountain. Pretty good views for the minimal effort involved. As Greg said in the report its "a lot of bang for your buck". | ||

| Cascade Scrambler | Still snowed in at halfway point! ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 11, 2008 | |
| This is, without question, one of the gnarlier trails around. At about the halfway point, the trail disappears under a deep blanket of snow. The view from the summit is breathtaking. | ||

| The road was covered in snow before the trailhead. I am still unsure where the actual trailhead was. Oh well, we just followed the steps in the snow hoping they knew the way to the start of the trail! Luckily they did. Once we located the start of the trail it was pretty straight forward. It wouldn't be hard to get off route on the way down if you aren't careful. A pretty fun trip. | ||

| The road was snowed in down to 2000ft. We followed snowshoe tracks all the way up (without snowshoes). Beautiful day, great views. I got a pretty bad sunburn! | ||

| High winds, heavy rain, blinding snow. No views at all. Definitely not the best day to do this peak, but i had to give it a go... But judging from the photos from other people, this would be spectacular on a clear day! | ||
