Beautiful day marred  Sucess!

Gorgeous day with fog in the forest, clear above tree line looking down on a sea of clouds, then it all cleared up. But a kid fell off the top just before we got there, somehow survived, and we watched the heli rescue.

Spring Snow on Pilchuck  Sucess!

Had to walk the last mile or so of the road to the trailhead on snowshoes. Between the mist and the snowpack we didn't exactly end up anywhere near the trail but made it to the hut regardless.

Got to make my own tracks for the last half mile or so to the summit. Nobody else up there on a fantastic morning.

Nice Easy Hike  Sucess!

I summited this Mountain many times when I was younger. I loved the lookout on top that was almost always open. One of the best lookouts I've seen.

First Washington Peak!  Sucess!

Was in Granite Falls for a family reunion and really wanted to climb a peak so I'm glad this was nearby. There was SO much snow left and TONS of people on the mountain! The view was incredible and well worth the short hike.

W Erik  Sucess!

Our new local peak. First took Erik up there within first month in Washington- he was 1.5 years old. Nice hike - we are a little slower now that he and Owen want to walk.

In Snow is awesome  Sucess!

First time in the snow is great, you can shortcut directly across the slope. In '09 did it with a few friends after the snow was gone. The trail is fairly awesome I suppose.

Great Mountain  Sucess!

No 001, personal summit log.

Do this hike multiple times each year, great for training and it's closer to my house than anything else. Great views and environments near the top, and the Bathtub Lakes route is a hidden gem.
