| Camped at a lake below Lake Marjorie the 2nd night of a 5-day trip in the area with my bother. Came in and out from Taboose Pass, this was the only day we really saw anyone, soooo many people on the JMT. Wasn't sure about the traverse over from Wynne, so climbed down, wrapped around, and up the southwest chute to Pinchot. | |

| First ones up for the year. Climbed with my friend Doug via Armstrong Canyon, camping on a high ridge just N of Perkins on the Crest. Climbed Pinchot - Wynne - Perkins on the same day. A near-perfect outing. Full winter conditions beyond the Sierra Crest, but overall, low snow year made for a lot of rock showing and crappy snow. | |

| On traverse to Wynne, from the low point of the saddle, a level traverse, occasionally dropping a few feet while crossing threw small gullies, is the easiest line; ascend the largest gully, maybe the third one; only one class 3 move at the start of the traverse. | |
