South ridge from Mount Wynne  Sucess!

Fourth peak on a 7 day trip between Sawmill and Taboose Passes. The traverse did not seem as loose and scary as others made it out to be. Trip report

Dayhike from Armstrong Cyn  Sucess!

A windy chilly day for a dayhike of Pinchot, Wynne and Perkins from Armstrong Cyn. Enjoyed the east ridge more than anything else that day. Kind of boring peaks actually.

SW chute  Sucess!

The SW chute is a collection of sand and loose blocks. I think this peak is better climbed along with Wynne on the exciting ridge connecting the two peaks, with the SW chute as a great descent route. Either way, superb views from the top!

Southwest Chute  Sucess!

Camped at a lake below Lake Marjorie the 2nd night of a 5-day trip in the area with my bother. Came in and out from Taboose Pass, this was the only day we really saw anyone, soooo many people on the JMT. Wasn't sure about the traverse over from Wynne, so climbed down, wrapped around, and up the southwest chute to Pinchot.

Great peaks!  Sucess!

First ones up for the year. Climbed with my friend Doug via Armstrong Canyon, camping on a high ridge just N of Perkins on the Crest. Climbed Pinchot - Wynne - Perkins on the same day. A near-perfect outing.

Full winter conditions beyond the Sierra Crest, but overall, low snow year made for a lot of rock showing and crappy snow.

Route Climbed: west ridge Date Climbed: Aug. 2005  Sucess!

On traverse to Wynne, from the low point of the saddle, a level traverse, occasionally dropping a few feet while crossing threw small gullies, is the easiest line; ascend the largest gully, maybe the third one; only one class 3 move at the start of the traverse.

Pretty tough dayhike out of Taboose Pass TH, tagging this one first, then traversing over to Wynne. Fun outing in a beautiful area.
