Dayhike with Vitaliy up the east ridge after a visit to Carillon. Very enjoyable route- will do again sometime.

Up Cleaver Col and down the standard scree slope.

Great day-East ridge

Nice peak, nice ridge, nice views. The way down didn't seem as memorable as the way going up. Would like to try to fishhook

Great day with MM. Only downside was a guide and 2 clients jumped ahead at the short cut at end of pitch 3 as I was seconding up pitch 1; we caught them by pitch 7; but let it go. Just sayin...

E RIDGE

Dayhiked E Ridge, via Nirth Fork route and bagged Carillon on the way down. Still a lot of snow for the end of June this year.

Fishhook

Great Climb! Very cold so opted to start directly under the notch. Sun hit arete at 8:15 and started climbing at 8:30. Comfortable temps and very little wind. Summitted at 1:45 and back at Upper Boy Scout Lake via East Ridge at 4:15. Snow on approach to Iceberg lake and from Iceberg lake to Whitney/Russell pass. Everything else clear of snow. Small patch on N side of E. Summit on descent.

Fishhook Arete

Camped at Iceberg Lake. Perfect weather but a little sketchy with ice/snow along last 300ft of summit ridge.

East Ridge Solo

Enroute from Giant Forest to Lone Pine I crossed Russell-Carillon Pass and did the East Ridge. Fantastic climb on a great mountain! I even got to sign the old 1932 register which still had several blank pages at the time. What an honor!

Snagged a walk-in permit and camped at Upper Boyscout Lake, climbed the route the next day. Didn't really stay directly on the ridge much, probably should have because it wasn't that exciting lower down.
