Kinda spooky hike out in the dark, but great sunset from the top. Glad the creeps didnt break into my car.

Successful climb to North Peak, but spaced out and missed county high point at East Peak! Unbelievable disappointment for neophyte county high pointer!! Thankfully Cobb Mt. was blunder free! It's a pretty boring out and back but for the views...guess I'll have to return for the East Peak at a later date.

Hit the trailhead at 4:30 AM and bike/hiked 2 miles before sunrise. Three more miles and I was alone at the top for an hour before two trucks came racing up the fire road to work. Awesome views of every Mountain I've climbed or want to climb. Shasta here I come! Car broken into and random items stolen. Go ahead and wrap that phone charger around your neck. Don't leave your car in the Dark! The sunrise was nice but not worth the Banditos.

The good: Great views of the valley once you're about a third of the way up. The only vertical of much significance that's nearby if you live in the Napa area.

The bad: The summit itself is less than stellar and the views of the valley don't improve past mile 2. However, if it's an exceptionally clear day you can see a lot from the summit. Also, this would be a great spot for sunrise or sunset photography.

is 99% of the hike and pretty dull. Nice views from the top. Interesting old outhouse on the summit.

After a morning of climbing at the Far Side I will hike to the summit before heading back to Marin for a couple cold ones at Marin Brewing Company

Leisurely bike ride up the road to the summit. Biked over to St Helena East for the Napa COHP, then bombed down the road to SR 29 in under 10 minutes, then went to Cobb Mtn for the Sonoma COHP.

most of the trail is up a fire road which is pretty boring and a very indirect hike, but the views from the top are pretty good.

Nailed this one when I was in the Boy Scouts and a few times afterward. I hate hiking on roads.

Perfect day for coastal range hike. It was clear to the north, so I saw Lassen and I think I saw Shasta. To the west I was able to make out the Crystal Range. To the south Diablo and Mt.Tam poke up above the fog. I saw only 2 people going up and lots of people on the way down. I did South, East, and North Peaks at 6 hours CTC.

...in Lake County. So I pass the Mountain and hike it every few years. Usually managed to find places to cut up through the brush to shorten the bordom of the lengthy switchbacks but this is one mountain that pretty much forces you to stay on the trail.
