| Beautiful hike on a crystal-clear day. Both Point Reyes and Mt. Shasta were clearly visible! Pretty chilly at the summit.. Many pics are available here | ||

| Went through south, middle (east), and north peak. Fairly easy hiking, it looked like there might be some great views but then the pea-soup fog rolled in. What a monstrosity on the top of north peak! | ||

| We hiked up late in the day on a Sunday. The true summit does have usual radio towers, but there is a good rock area to sit down and eat a bite and rest before descending. It was too hazy to see very far, but we could see Mount Tam and Mount Diablo. If we had gone much later we would have needed flashlights in the trees once we left the fireroad. | ||

| This might have been my first summit (although this was long before I developed even a remote interest in peakbagging). I remember there being nice views of Snow Mountain and Mendocino NF to the north, and the snow-capped Sierra to the east. And lots and lots of people. Came back in Feb 2004 to tag the Napa County highpoint, but stupidly climbed the wrong bump on the way back from the main summit. Again lots of people. This mountain has a pretty high attrition rate for a walk up a jeep trail--based on my observations, I bet about a quarter of the people who start out on the trail actually reach the top. | ||

| Hiked up on a warm & beautiful day, seeing few people on the way up. A guy with his girlfriend on the summit pointed out a barely discernable Mt. Shasta far, far off in the distance- amazing!! | ||

| Hiked it on a beautiful sunny day in August as a preparation to the Shasta ascent. It took us 2.5 hours to reach the summit, and 4 hours for the round trip. Trail is very exposed to sun, so make sure that you take your hat and sunscreen on a hot and sunny day. | ||

| Nice view on the summit. The cool breeze on the top was welcome after a hot hike. | ||

| We turned around after summitting south peak, which tops out around 4000'. Still a decent climb from the trailhead (2200') for a leisurely day hike. Some people might be offended by all the radio towers on the summit, but I really didn't mind, since a beautiful shaded deck, with picnic tables, is built atop the radio shacks. The views weren't great (a bit hazy), but you feel really high. On a clear day, this would be a great one. | ||

| First time was with Wei. Wonderful view on top, and breezy cool weather in summer. Lassen Peak and High Sierras can be seen on a clear day. Mount Diablo, Mount Tamalpais, Snow Mountain can also be seen. | ||
