Beautiful, crisp, cool morning. Assended the San Antonio Ski Hut Route and came down the Devil's Backbone to the Baldy Notch. Then took the easy way the rest of the way down. Great views from the top. Could see Catalina Island above all the fog and Southern California haze. Had great views of the Mohave Desert and beyond to the Southern Sierra. Also could see San Gorgonio, Baden-Powell and San Jacinto.

Route Climbed: Devil's Backbone, Blue Ridge, Bear Cyn, Hut Route Date Climbed: Many times  Sucess!

I have no idea how many times I have hiked to the top of Mt. Baldy. Maybe 25 or 30 times using all four routes and in all seasons. My favorite time of year to climb Baldy is winter. Even though it's Southern California Baldy gets a good amount of snow and is a great day climb and a good chance to use winter equipment.
