I highly recommend going to Mt. Shasta, but it is still a long way from Yosemite. If you are willing to make the trip, it is worth it. While you are up there, it is not too much further to Crater Lake...

Great Composition

This is the kind of shot you'd enlarge to over-the-mantle size. Perfect time of day, too, with the shadows defining a little photographed side of Shasta. The juxtaposition makes Black Butte look like Shasta's little sidekick. Beautiful.
