Mount Shasta

A wide view of Avalanche Gulch on Mount Shasta. Casaval Ridge, and the Red Banks are in the upper left. Sargents Ridge spreads out to the right. Green Butte Ridge splits off of Sargents around the center of the picture. Shastarama Point is directly above Avalanche Gulch proper, the gully that runs the length of the valley below Helen Lake. Point 9,365 is the high point on the right, which one passes en route to the summit of Green Butte. Nov2012.
