Climbed with Kelly and Jacob from Mt Wynn to Siyeh for full Skyline Experience. The descent into the Cataract side of the Piegan Pass trail was hairy and so was the bear that charged us. Quite the experience indeed!

Amazing views
Reached the summit via the ridge from Wynn Mountain (Skyline Experience). Some of the most amazing views I've ever seen. Cracker Lake looks like a painting.

The North face was covered in a thin layer of white ice. Must have been a strange view from Cracker Lake.
Climbed via the Skyline Experience starting at Many Glacier. From the summit, we watched a grizzly sow and two yearlings tossing shale around about 800 feet below the summit. The weather was perfect. This was the hike that hooked me on climbing mountains in Glacier.

Cool day, great summit
Climbed with Smiley and his friend Mark, hiked up the Siyeh Pass Trail, went up the 'tongue', through a small window, following a use trail much of the way. Great views from the top, was a bit windy and cool but the threatened storm blew over with no problem.

Also did Cracker with Rod, Bill Smith, and Alex (from France). From Cracker we traversed back across Siyeh and came down the ridge toward Catarrach and down a couloir back to the trail.

Approached from the south via Preston Park with Montanachris. The weather cooperated and it was a great climb. It was cool to see Cracker lake nearly a vertical mile below having camped there the year before on my first backpack trip to the park.

South Slope
Unbelievably beautiful and tiring. View to Cracker Lake is amazing. Forgot how tiring it is and climbed it again in 2001 via the west slope route. Definitely a great peak if you want to grab a 10'000-footer in a day.

vertigo view
Climbed with the local dungeonmaster Gerald Lim. The intense exposure of the north face was enough to give me a case of vertigo, but still managed to crawl over to the edge. Have to admit that we did some trundling as it was 2-3,000 ft. straight down and the experience of a large rock going off and falling that far was really something. While on top, our skin became numb and I looked over at Gerald and his hair was standing straight up! We even saw a little green St. Elmos fire around the rocks all in the space of less than a minute. A lightening bolt hit about a mile away and broke the spell and fear had us running off the top at high speed. The view is so breathtaking, I climbed it the next year just to experience it again.
