Very very nice page! This is a beautiful area and I wish I would have found this page before I went out there because this looks like a beautiful mountain. Thanks for sharing and have a good one!

Hi Aaron, Nice photos, writeup on Sniktau. I noticed a couple of the weather-related links on this page don't work any more.

I was thinking about attempting this one in a few weeks.

Any idea anyone where the name Sniktau comes from?

See this link, Aaron: http://www.mapbuzz.com/viewer/478. It notes that Sniktau was the pen name of E.H.N. Patterson, who worked as a journalist in Clear Creek County in the 1860s.

Aaron, here is another link with more information about E.H.N. Patterson that you may find useful to further edify the origin of Sniktau: http://books.google.com/books?id=bZj2I3mnEuMC&pg=PA59&lpg=PA59&dq=E.H.N.+Patterson&source=bl&ots=fvhYzczFvx&sig=qBw7ZvdQyqDDRJLGIRp0oaED5k0&hl=en&ei=tRk5SrSvD6K1tweR_dXiDA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2
