Bad weather almost all day. Super stormy on top, almost impossible to sign the summit register. Nice ridge though. Wanted to climb Mt Morgan as well but the rain and thunderstorms made me change plans.
A fun, and somewhat long, dayhike from Rock Creek Rd. Nothing terribly treacherous or challenging, just a nice day out.

SW Slope from Pioneer Basin - traverse to Morgan
This was our exit route from a backpacking trip, so we climbed it with full packs. The route goes at Class 2 with numerous options, though we occasionally opted for harder moves on more solid rock. Pretty fun scramble.

East Slope from Lake 10,353
A nice late season dayhike. This was a nice climb, and one can even spice it up with some class 3 just below the summit ridge. Contrary to what Secor says, it is perfectly reasonable (class 2) to head for the low point of the saddle just before the small tarn at the base of the East Slope. Trip report.

From lake 10,353
Nine hours r/t with Rahil, Pete and Reza. Followed use trail from SE, gained saddle on left side (steep & loose) and traversed across to NE face.
Up the switch backed short cut across from Pine Grove Campground. Climb came in at 16 miles, even with the short cut (and I contoured around the place where the trail dropped down and came back up near Patricia Peak's north ridge). Beautiful day.

Easy scramble from Stanford Col. Large boulder field must be crossed above Steelhead Lake, but not too bad. Stanford Col is very loose. Solo.

Tried using all short-cuts from trail at Pine Cove Campground. Too many f'ing trees!! Enjoyed all the rock once over tree line; stayed high over the lakes and traversed on boukders, no trail. Cold windy summit!

Up from the lake to Hilton Creek Lakes and then Mount Stanford. Followed the ridge to the highpoint west of Mount Morgan, then Morgan and down a sandy chute to Davis Lake.
