| Climbed up to Cardiff Peak and then along the ridge to Superior/MC. Great views of the twin peaks and Lake Blanche. No mountain goats but a fun, short hike. | |

| Twice. First was scramble on East ridge. Stayed true to the ridge to make it more challenging than the trail that has developed. That turned it into a third class. Mountain Goats all over, from trailhead to summit. Second was done via South ridge of Superior. We stayed true to the ridge. Roped up about half way up and kept the rope on to the top, simul-climbing and with only two places of slung natural pro. Had deep snow last 1000 feet to summit. Descent via East ridge. | |

| 8:30am start. Snowshoe'd up to Cardiff Pass and booted the ridge to Superior (great boot path already in place). Ridge to Monte Cristo was untraveled, so had to break trail a bit. Beautiful day and fantastic views. Wish I knew how to BC snowboard .... the decent blows when everyone else out there is skiing and boarding down. :)

| 7/04/10 Cottonwood Ridge Traverse 6/10/11 Had intentions of doing the Cottonwood Ridge Traverse but there was too much snow with gigantic Cornices 08/24/11 via Superior South Ridge solo in just under 2 hours 06/09/12 via South Ridge with Dallin. It was his first mountain. Time to the top was 2 hours 20 mins 02/08/13 via South Ridge in a Snow storm for Sam's B-day. Best B-Day party to date. | |

| Jan 14, 2005: Climbed the S Ridge with PellucidWombat, Joseph Bullough and GlennMerrill. My first "alpine" climb. September 24, 2005: Climbed from Cardiff Pass as part of the Cottonwood Ridge Traverse. I reversed the traverse less than halfway so I could make it to work on time, but I got to bag Monte Cristo this time at least. February 2008: Attempted the S Ridge solo. Poor snow conditions made it a bit more interesting than I expected without crampons. Bailed at the notch and descended one of the chutes to the right (hooked up with Suicide Chute). | |
