Battle Gulch
It took me a lot of work to bag such a little mountain. I took my dog and kids up there on one of the hottest days in the summer of 2009. we had some bad directions, and it took us about an hour of hiking before we ended up in Cepnalopod Gulch. After about 15 minutes heading up the dog wouldn't walk anymore and the kids were crying, so we had to turn back. My kids still call this mountain Mt. Van Hot. :)
Back for more 2/4/2010- I wasn't exactly sure what the best route was, and I ended up going up Battle Gulch, and then getting on the ridge (Battle Creek Ridge) and from there is was an easy hike to the top where I was by myself. I enjoyed the views of the Wasatch and the sunrise. I think I will add a route page because the route I took down was much easier.

Mount Van Cott
Good hike to do when the weather is stormy. It was snowing on the summit and then a few minutes later there was blue sky.

Hardly a peak, but it was a nice hike. From the "summit" we continued on to the top of the South Fork of Dry Creek canyon, and descended along various game trails on the north side of Dry Creek.

Great QuickieHave climbed countless times after work... Great hike if you only have an hour or so and makes for an excellent workout due to the steepness.

various routesA fun "peak" to do because of the various routes that one can take. Good loop hikes or runs...saw some coyotes off the backside yesterday.

Cephilopod GulchBack when I was a kid, I climbed this peak at least a few times from Cephilopod Gulch.
