| WOW! What an amazing day to climb! There was not a cloud in the sky! It was a WARM hike, and we spent 2 hours on the summit! There's nothing like a beautiful kick back day on the summit of a mountain with good company:-) The glassade down was incredible! Very smooth, good speed, and had fun belly-flopping and going backwards! | ||

| Fun Climb. Did more on the legs than I expected. Best part is from the saddle to the summit, the rock hopping is great. Sweet view from summit | ||

| Solo Trip - Steeper than I expected, but a great hike. Reached the summit by 11am and still got caught in rain, thunder, and lightning above and below treeline. Wow, that thunder rocked me! Good times! | ||

| My sixth Fourteener. It was the most spectacular view I've ever seen from the summit of a fourteener. It was a beautiful day for the aspens to. A great climb that's well worth the more than 4,000 ft. of climbing. | ||

| Nice trail but becomes very steep up to the summit ridge! Some fun scrambling on the ridge heading east to the summit. Many opt to simply go around the scrambling section just below and south of the ridge. | ||

| Climbed this as an overnight, with my roomie. We camped on the nub atop the east ridge, at about 12,000 feet. Pitched a tent but didn't use it. We should have, as I was woken in the middle of the night by a pika gnawing on the side of my Thermarest. Bloody rodents: not only did it ruin that night's sleep, but it took me a month to find and patch all the holes. | ||

| As I remember, it was a beautiful early summer day and once we left the timberline the trail faded out, but we continued up the steep tundra to the saddle south of the summit and then made our way to the top. On the descent we didn't locate the start of the trail at timberline, but found it thru the trees down near the brook where we had left it. | ||

| Weather conditions deteriorated rapidly once I got onto Yale's steep southwest shoulder. The wind and sleet were challenging, as was the short scramble to the summit. Great views of Harvard, Columbia, and Princeton from the top once the clouds cleared. | ||

| I don't remember much about this mountain other than gaining a lot of elevation in a short amount of time. The view was unbelievable. | ||

| Beautiful day. Broke the rules and started at noon. Summitted at 1500. Very cold and windy, but snow was scarce and the trail was in great shape. Defintely no snow gear required yet. | ||

| This was my second attempt - my first one got bogged down by too much snow. This time, we started out at 4am to ensure we made the summit. Good thing - the weather moved in around 9am and we heard and saw lightning and thunder, which caused us to rush back down from the summit. It then snowed on us all of the way back to the trailhead. It took us 8 hours round trip, and we were extremely spent when we made it back to the car. A long 7 miles! | ||

| My 8th Fourteener. Great view but crowded summit. Also climbed 'Mascot Peak' where there was plenty of solitude. | ||

| I left Denver at about 4 AM and arrived at the trailhead at about 7:30. It was quite chilly at the trailhead, but it warmed up nicely once the sun came over the ridge. We had glorious weather: almost perfectly clear all day, with very little wind. Someone in a small plane buzzed the summit a few times. The aspens are just starting to turn up there. | ||

| Nice hike, good scenic route. East Ridge has some pretty loose sections up to point 13,420 so tread carefully to avoid scaring the fragile areas. The newly rerouted section of Colorado Trail from Silver Creek TH to the beaver ponds at around 11,100' or so has to be the longest stretch of trail w/o a swichback I've hiked... it seemed to go on and on and on (although it's an excellent trail). | ||

| Left Colorado Springs at 3AM and got on the trail right at 6AM. Very nice day and great scenery. A bit of scrambling over and around a butress on the summit ridge made me be extremely cautious as I somehow lost the cairns and was just beelining it for the summit. On the summit I met two very nice Air Force Academy cadets and we hiked down to the trailhead together. We parted ways at the trailhead and then I finished up with some well deserved post climb "rehydration" at Coyote Cantina. | ||
