Overview

Piz Languard is an Enganidina mountain near the border with Italy. From its peak is possible to admire a wonderful scenario of Piz Bernina and the mountains of its range like Piz Palů. A nice possibility is to reach the region by Bernina Express, a fantastic mountain train that from Tirano (I) leads Saint Moritz (CH) through Bernina pass (for the path to Piz Languard: station Pontresina). Reach this mountain is easy and a you can sleep near the peak in the refuge Chamanna Georgy: 24 beds, open only in summer, Tel.hut: 0041 (0) 81 833 65 65.

Piz Languard is famous for its beautiful panorama

From the refuge in about 20 minutes through a ridge to the peak (easy (walk up) - difficulty E until the refuge - EE from the refuge to the peak).

Another possibility:

It is perfectly possible to walk the trail in the opposite direction (from Alp Languard to Muottas Muragl). However, it is less attractive in terms of the views.

‘Round-trip hiking tickets’ (including transport from Punt Muragl up to Muottas Muragl and from Alp Languard down to Pontresina) are available.
