Overview
It is the highest and hugest summit on the Polish "first" face of Tatra Mountains. The elevation difference from bottom to top is more than 700 meters, There are many routes and many of them are not so much technical.
Two "ordinary" routes and several others can be used for ascending. Two or more parts on the easiest routes are protecting "via ferrata". Especially, in the summer there might be even a hundred climbers in the route. Swinica is best to climb on Wintertime, when the Tatra Mountains are strenght, difficult and looks like Alpes.
Tatra Mountains are the center of training for every Polish alpinists. In this place many famous Polish alpinists like Wanda Rutkiewicz, Jerzy Kukuczka started their climbing adventure; they're part of alpinism' history nowadays.

Getting There
It's so easy to get there...From Cracow drive to Zakopane - central place to get The Tatra Mountains. The highest peak which you can see from this city is exactly Swinica. Take a bus to Kuznice, where you can find everything and choose many routes.
The all Tatra area is institiuted national park so it's not allowed to camp there. It's strongly forbidden. But in Zakopane you always find the appartment wherever you want. You can also sleep in numerous Tatra's refuges. The maps of Tatra Mountains space are easy to approach on you every step in Zakopane and at the entrances to the National Park.
