OverviewNice mountain to climb. Very nice view. Peak lies on the Austrian-Swiss border.Not very difficult if you have enough mountain experience.
Getting in IschglFROM GERMANY
via Fernpass/Kufstein -> Inntal motorway
direction Arlberg, exit: Pians, turn left at the petrol station in Pians,
direction: Paznaun - 20 km to Ischgl
Via Lake Constance in the summertime:
Bludenz, Montafon, Silvretta mountain road
in winter:
via Arlberg from Italy/Switzerland: Pians turn off into the Paznaun valley - Ischgl
FROM ITALY
via Brenner / Inntal motorway
direction Arlberg, exit: Pians, turn left at the petrol station in Pians,
direction: Paznaun - 20 km to Ischgl
via Reschenpass / Nauders / Landeck -
Pians -Pians, turn left at the petrol station in Pians,
direction: Paznaun - 20 km to Ischgl
FROM SWITZERLAND
via Feldkirch / Arlberg - Pians, turn left at the petrol station in Pians,
direction: Paznaun - 20 km to Ischgl
in the summertime you can also reach Ischgl via Bludenz,
Montafon, Silvretta mountain road.
How to get there?
Getting to the top1.) From Ischgl with the Fimbabahn or Silvrettaseilbahn to the Idalpe(2311m). From Idalpe a hike to Viderjoch (2700m). Now you follow a path along the Austrian-Swiss borders.This markt trail takes you to the top of the Greitspitze (2872m).
If you want to do this with children, use a short rope to secure them!!!
2.) From Ischgl with the Fimbabahn or Silvrettaseilbahn to the Idalpe(2311m). Then you can take a markt trail to the base of the Greitzspitze.
A klettersteig brings you to the top of the Greitspitz(2872m).
This can be done under the supervision of a state-qualified mountain guide.
