Overview Base Jumping : the Vertigo Wall of Monte Brento
Monte Brento 1545m belongs, together with the Monte Casale, the monte Granzoline, the monte Biaino and the monte Misone group, to the mount range of Casale also known as Daėn Grant.
The chain is sited between the lower Giudicarie and the lower valley of Sarca. Its eastern side, the best known, is hanging, with its rocky structure over the Sarca valley and hosts many pure rock climbing routes and the ferrata che Guevara.Its western side, on the contrary, is a regular slope rich of coppice.
From its summit a spectacular view on the surrounding mountains : Alpi di Ledro, Mount Cadria, Mount Carč Alto, the Presanella, the Brenta group, the Paganella, the Stivo-Bondone chain and, to the south, the monte Baldo and the Garda lake.
Well known and popular to Base jumping fans, near its summit, toward NE there is the Becco d'Aquila (Eagle beak) werefrom they can start a 1500 m fly.
Il Monte Brento 1545m.fa parte della catena montuosa del Casale assieme al Monte Casale, Il monte Granzoline, il monte Biaino e il gruppo del monte Misone. Il Casale č anche conosciuto come Daėn Grant.
La catena č situata tra la Val Giudicarie Inferiore e la Valle del Basso Sarca.Il versante est, il pių noto, presenta delle rocce a picco sulla valle del Basso Sarca ed offre numerose vie alpinistiche e vie attrezzate come la via " che Guevara". Il versante ovest e invece formato da un regolare pendio ricco di bosco ceduo.
Il Monte Brento domina il Basso Sarca e la Valle di Cavedine e dalla sua cima si gode una spettacolare veduta che va dalle Alpi di Ledro, il Cadria, il Carč Alto, la Presanella, il Brenta, la Paganella, la catena dello Stivo - Bondone, e a sud il monte Baldo e il lago di Garda.
E' conosciuto e molto frequentato dagli appassionati delo sport estremo Base jamping, infatti poco lontano dalla sua cima , in direzione nord est, si vede il " Becco d'Aquila" noto agli appassionati di questo sport che si lanciano da qui volando per 1500 metri.

The path 408/b starts from Marcarėe S. Giovanni (path Garda-Brenta)
A forestal route crosses a broad leaved and a red spruce wood.
After 2 hairpin bends to a tableland, then to the right wherefrom the path becomes steeper climbing along Brento slopes till the summit where a Cross is placed : panorama is very wide.The path goes down, along the ridge boarding the Giudicarie coppice (west side) and the vertical walls (east side).Along the path you get Valbona wherefrom you can easily come back to the starting point along a comfortable forestal road.
Si sale al monte Brento da Arco / Varignano verso la localitā S. Giovanni al Monte dove si lascia l'auto.Il sentiero 408/b inizia a Marcarėe S. Giovanni ( itinerario Garda-Brenta)
La strada č forestale ed attraversa un bosco di latifoglie e abete rosso. Si superano due tornanti e giunti ad un pianoro si svolta a destra dove d'ora in poi il sentiero si fa pių ripido e risale i fianchi del monte Brento fino alla sua cima.
Una croce domina la vallata e il panorama č vastissimo.
Il sentiero ridiscende a nord seguendo il crinale e costeggiando il bosco ceduo della Val Giudicarie ad ovest e le pareti strapiombanti e vertiginose ad est. Il sentiero porta verso Valbona e la malga e da qui si puō comodamente rientrare al punto di partenza per comoda forestale chiudendo il giro ad anello.
Getting ThereArco can easily be reached from north and south along the Brennero state road 12 and the motorway A22 (exit Rovereto Sud/Lago di garda Nord, 15 km distance from the toll gate), then along the SS 240 state road.
Coming from Trento along the SS 45/bis.
Coming from the south/Lake Garda along the SS 249.
