Overview
Cima Immink lies in the central sector of Pale di San Martino, between Pala di San Martino and Cima Pradidali. It shows two beautiful and very interesting for climbers walls: the E wall, that goes up from high Val Pradidali, and the W wall, that commands the path that goes to Passo di Ball, in Vallon di Ball. The mountain is separated from Pala di San Martino by the fantastic Forcella Dimai, hardly difficult to be reached.
The first ascent of Cima Immink had done by G. Zecchini, A. Dimai, F. Zander and Jeanne Immink in 1891, and was dedicated to this last woman. Some people assert that the first ascent had done in 1877 by C. Tomè, S. Siorpaes and T. Dal Col, during an attempted ascent to Pala di San Martino, but there are no reports of this climb, so it's probably only a tale.
The summit is rarely visited. We must indicate the beautiful route of E. Solleder and F. Fontein along the SW edge, with difficulties of 5° degree.
The normal route goes up along the southern side, and it is a very fun climb not difficult ( 2° degree ) and on excellent rock. You must start from Pradidali Hut m 2278 and walk to Passo di Ball m 2443. Now you go down in Vallon di Ball and, after a little, leave the path that goes down to Val di Roda. Follow a quite marked little path going towards the hollow between Cima Pradidali and Cima Immink. Easily you reach the hanging sinking that divides the two summits, and then go on the left crossing an often frozen canal and reach the start of the route. Here there is a great block with ceiling: you must go over it and climb in the direction of a beautiful vertical crack, you enter into it and climb up to it becomes too much difficult. Now you go out the crack going on the right, traverse obliquing up to a canal, go up along it and reach the edge of the great summit ledge. For gravels and ruined rocks you reach now easily the top. ( Report by Luca Visentini ).
TIMES OF RANGE : Pradidali Hut m 2278 - start of the route = h 1.30
Start of the route - summit = h 1.00
DROPS : Pradidali Hut - Passo di Ball m 2443 = 165 m

Getting There
To reach Pradidali Hut you have to go to Trento or Belluno by train or by car, and then go up to Fiera di Primiero. Turning on the right, you follow the road that leads to Passo Cereda but, arrived to a cross, turn on the left and go up to Cant del Gal, a wonderful place with two beatiful little hotels. From here you must follow the path n. 709 that in h. 3.00 leads to Pradidali Hut.
Gear
A medium mountain gear, rope, some friends and nuts are required by this climb.
