Overview
Sasso delle Lede lies in that secondary branch of Pale di San Martino that starts at Passo Pradidali Basso and ends with Cima di Sèdole. It rises between Cima Canali and Forcella di Sèdole. Its section which goes towards Cima Canali was recently named " Cima Arturo Brunet ", in honour of this strong climber who died tragically here during an attempted climb along a new route.
The first ascent had done in 1896 by R. Gartner, O. Ruger, M. Bèttega and B. Zagonèl, but probably the mountain had already been climbed by hunters of the valley. The normal route is easy ( 1st degree ) and goes up along the SE side. The summit is quite never visited.
You must start from Minazio Bivouac m 2250 in Vallon delle Lede and follow the path n. 711 in the direction of Pradidali Hut, up to Forcella di Sèdole m 2298. Here you turn on the right, overcome the gravels at the base of the mountain and go up along a little canal ( 1st degree ) that leads above a first wall. Now cross on the right. As soon as possible turn on the left obliquing along slopes and canals that lead to the summit. ( Report by Luca Visentini ).

Getting There
To reach Minazio Bivouac you have to go to Trento or Belluno and go up to Fiera di Primiero. Here you turn on the right and follow the road that leads to Passo Cereda but, when you arrive to a cross, turn on the left following the road that leads you to Cant del Gal, a wonderful place where you find two little hotels. Turn on the right driving along the road that goes into Val Canali and arrive to a parking where you have to leave the car ( to here, if you arrive to Cant del Gal by bus, you can go walking along the same road in h 0.30 ). Follow now walking the road marked with the n. 707 in the direction of Treviso Hut and arrive to the cross with the path n. 711 that goes up along Vallon delle Lede; follow it and after 3.00 hours you reach Minazio Bivouac.
Gear.
No technical gear is required by this ascent, only medium mountain clothes.
