Overview

The peak is situated between Foret de Bonifatio, Foret de Tartaigne and the Tassinetta valley (a side arm of the Asco valley).

Getting There

From the GR20 Refuge Oro di Piobbo 1,5 hours via Bocca di Tartaigne. The ascent follows the NNW ridge from the Bocca di Tartaigne and is marked with cairns.

Access to the hut and the Bocca cf. Capo a Dente, there are several possibilities either from Foret de Bonifatio, Calenzana, Foret de Tartaigne or the Asco valley (Giunte hut).

Red Tape

None. Several rules from the parc-naturel are not more than self-evident (no open fire etc.).

Camping

same as Capo a Dente.

Further Information

Best time of the year: The ascent should not pose any technical problems even on snow.

For Weather information for Corsica lookup the Meteo Corse page

Best use the "top25" map: IGN OT4250 "Monte Cinto" 1:25.000. IGN-Link
