Piz Sardona 3055m is a mountain in Switzerland, in the canton St.Gallen and Glarus. He’s on the boarder of this Swiss-cantons St.Gallen and Glarus. Located in den St.Gall Alps and Glarus Alps. Piz Sardona is close by villages Weisstannen, Vättis/Gigerwald and Sargans. Piz Sardona is a popular mountain in summer as well as in spring with ski.

To the east of the summit you find the glacier "Sardona-Gletscher" and to the south the glacier "Glatscher dil Segnas".

The second name of Piz Sardona is Surenstock.

Normal route in the summertime:

From Sardona-Hut 2158m or from the Schrääwisli-Hut 1732m over the east ridge to the Piz Sardona and after to the Piz Segnas

Start by the mountain-railway station "Fil de Cassons/Cassonsgrat 2634m". Mountain-railway Flims/Laax by the Village Flims.
>With Ski over the glacier "Glatscher dil Segnas" to the Surenjoch between Piz Segnas and Piz Sardona. Then to the Piz Sardona and after to the Piz Segnas.

Getting There

By public transport

From Zurich with train until Sargans and to the next village Bad Ragaz. After that with the yellow post-bus to Vättis and Gigerwald.
On a marked hiking trail to the Schrääwisli-Hut 1732m or the Sardona-Hut 2158m.
