A tiny rodent visited us during the lunch break on our hike to Sajama high camp, well above 5000 m.

Probably a Pika

Possibly a young one. They're more closely related to rabbits than mice. Good shot! How close was it?

	Hasn't voted	If my memory serves me well, it was from a bit over one meter. It was near a huge boulder and an obvious place to have a rest. I suspect that it made its home somewhere around or even under there, and supplemented its diet with the crumbles left behind by passing climbers.
