Looking up Lost Creek Canyon on the south side of Mt. Timpanogos, just off of the Provo Canyon highway. This makes an interesting ascent to the summit but it is a difficult approach.

Voted 10/10 | Interesting if you like punishment (hee hee). We made an attempt of that left hand ridge in winter. Its much longer and tougher than it looks.

Hasn't voted | Neat TR Scott. Any pics?
I snapped this pic as we were heading up the canyon to Park City and I wondered what kind of effort that way would take. You've answered that nicely.
How about Slide Canyon? (the next one up the road)

Voted 10/10 | Dean, after checking some of the old Wasatch Mountain Club magazines to try and remember names, I believe Cheryl Soshnik had a camera and took many pictures of the trip. I wouldn't know how to contact her, but if anyone reading this is in the WMC, Cheryl is probably still a prominent member and can tell me how to make contact.
Slide Canyon would be tough too. I haven't done it, but it looks really nasty from the Sundance Ridge. | | Posted Nov 13, 2004 10:26 pm |

Hasn't voted | I was just up provo canyon yesterday, 1-22-05, and noticed that there was a huge snow avalanche that had recently come down this drainage. The snow was around 35 feet deep and had blocked the road in the bottom of the canyon before being removed by road crews. I am not a winter climber but would love to try it when it is safe. | | Posted Jan 23, 2005 4:26 pm |
