ScottNice shot

Certainly looks better up there than down in the valley. I used to hate those nasty inversions.

This is an outstanding shot, a grabber.

The inversion made for a surreal view in the dark, since you could see a faint glow from the city lights and highways through the fog. Just wasn't able to capture it with a digital camera - maybe I'll go back to film ;)

I had to make this pic the February Mt. Timp cover shot. It shows that this mountain is a treasure right next to a metro area. One of my fave's.

Dean, thanks for making my photo the Timp cover shot. I didn't realize you rotate signature photos on a monthly cycle - smart idea!

Up until now I was only rotating pics I had put up but your recent pics have made me rethink it. From now on I'll use someone else's pic as the cover pic. BTW, your shot of the summit hut was a real contrast to this one taken when I was there last. Mark put up a great trip report. I like the composition with the pics and stuff on the left side. Gives it (the trip report) a great look.

Problem is these inversions never want to leave - this one is already several weeks old.
