Losinj floating on silver [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Losinj floating on silver
Afternoon sea view from the summit of Matijevic Brijeg (1611m), third highest peak of Mid Velebit. Dark area below is not the coast but first step of Mid Velebit. Behind, in the dark (bottom of the photo), is seaboard terrace. Velebit channel is still 1km below the edge. In the middle is long and narrow northern tip of Pag island. At the back are Cres island and Losinj further back, with its Osorscica (589m) mountain. Distance to it is 60km.

How do you succeed to catch such a visibility. I was a week ago on Ucka summit - a perfect, clear day, but still - the sea and islands were hardly visible. Congratulations once more!

Thanks Vid, very much!! Well, today I finally had hazy day towards sea :-) But since I have tons of perfect clear vistas I didn't mind much. Generally I don't go on Velebit when it isn't clear because I want good photos. When it is hazy I rather stay at home and wait for better days. But yesterday was great, to compensate for today :-)

You probably did some exams in Zagreb and now you're free to do mountaineering :))
