The view out of our "cave" during our descent from summit of Warbonnet after climbing the Northeast Face, Left route. The cave was a large hole under a huge boulder about 500 feet below the summit on the class 3 descent route. We got "pinned" there for >2 hours while a thunder and lightning storm raged outside. In the foreground is Sundance Pinnacle - a prominent tower on Warbonnet's south flanks. The lake in the picture is Big Sandy Lake (August 2, 2004). Comments |
