What's the name of ..

the peak right next to Zuckerhutl (on the right, the rocky ridge)? I always remember Zuckerhutl as a twin peak with that mountain, but it is as unknown as Zuckerhutl is famous...

As an addition to the caption, Sonklarspitze can be seen right behind Wilder Pfaff.

Nice photo!

Cheers,

Rick

The rocky mountain on the right is "Pfaffenschneide".

Thank you Sebastian for pointing it out! Since I didn´t know that, my purpose was to check out my maps when I would have been at home.

Bergheil!

Disappearing glacier

I think it's really horrifying to see the enormous hole in the Sulzenauferner (approximately in the middle of the glacier). The glacier used to stream over the rocks, but now the ice is not thick enough anymore to cover this enormous area you see on the picture. I can remember the situation before the hole appeared and I can tell, it looked a lot better!
Too bad...but still a grand shot you made.
